[IOH] - Event 1C:Choice A - Cookies For Bravery

Half way through making my event 0 comic, the event 1 prompts landed. And when I saw the flier prompts, low and behold - a new comic idea (or rather, continuation of the previous one, more like)  came to me. My head said yes - my hands and time, however, said no. So here's the jist of it:

<sub>When the blockade drops in Northridge, the Harlands are all put onto high alert - especially Martha. Head full of stories spoon fed to her by her father, she's absolutely terrified of what the future has in store for the town. Seeing his normally high spirited and funloving daughter shrink back to being so timid and paranoid... well, Herrick feels more than a little guilty. That's why, when he's out scrambling to find supplies to fill the shelves of his bunker, his eye takes note of a harmless looking flier. With his mind immediately going to his own daughter, who is very "stressed about the blockade : (" , he takes it home to show her.

After lamenting about how she hasn't even become a teenager yet and her world was already ending, she accuses him of "getting what he always wanted," which is proof that the government really was evil all along. He reassures her that actually, no, he never really wanted this, just wanted to be prepared for the worst. That's when he slips out the flier. Proof that they weren't alone in this - that, even if people were scared, they were still banding together to get through this mess. They were scared, but still brave enough to seek each other out and not keep silent about something so important.

Sure, after thinking about the flier a bit more, he begins to grow suspcious about it (what if it was planted by some of the government officials and deliberately made to look childish and innocent to catch people off guard??) but for Martha's sake, he pushes these suspcions asside and agrees to take her to the Hug-a-Mug.</sub>
